Totally Awkward Tuesday

Ok so this has been going on for some time. I have an issue with my panties. I know how could someone have a problem with their panties.
Anyway, I had bought a bunch of new panties from Victoria Secret and the new ones have the tag imprinted on the fabric instead of the tag that sticks out. Which is awesome. So one day I'm in the bathroom and I look at my panties and think Oh my gosh I have my panties on backwards. But no I didn't they were thongs. How do you put thongs on backwards and not realize it. No Victoria Secret has put the tag imprint on the inside front on the panties. I had a freak out moment and then it was gone.
Other issue
I put my panties on inside out a lot. I don't do this intentionally I guess I'm not really paying attention. So last night after running and what not I was changing to go to bed. (No I didn't shower afterwards b/c I was being very lazy and didn't feel like it) So I look down at my panties while I'm peeing and notice that the VS on the front of them is VS and not SV. The VS is against my body and not on the outside like it should be. So I go into the other room and tell my husband
ME: Guess what I did again?
Hubs: What
Me: point at my panties
Hubs: Laughing: Not again, you have a problem
Me: I know why can't I put my panties on the right way
Hubs: That's your TAT post.
Me: haha
So then we're laying in bed and he says
Hubs: I can't believe you didn't switch them to the right way
Me: Yea well I've already worn them the wrong way no point in switching now.

I have put my panties on inside out like 5 times. I guess I get confused? I dunno. But it's pretty awkward!

Freaky Friday

Ok so I'm participating in Adriana's Freaky Friday postings. If you need details or want to read other stories go here.

Ok this happened to me about 9 years ago.

I was out of town one weekend and on Monday morning when I was getting ready to head home my mom called and told me that Grandpa was really sick and she was heading out to go see him. She told me that it would be a good idea to head to where he lived to see him too. I was 4 hours out from where my Grandpa lived. He was in an assisted living center and had been having some issues with his health. I arrived at the assisted living place and my mom and soon to be stepdad (which I will call my stepdad for easier story telling sake) where already there sitting by his bed. My Grandpa was sleeping. We sat there and talked and by early evening I decided to head home with my Stepdad. My mom stayed behind so that she could be with him. I hugged my Grandpa goodbye and left. When we got to the car my Stepdad said that my Grandpa opened his eyes and knew it was me hugging him. I called my sister on the way home and we planned on coming back the next day to see my Grandpa.
When I got home I was so exhausted from the emotionally draining day. I was home alone. I went to bed that night and slept with my door open since I was alone. I remember waking up at 5:15am and seeing a tall and broad dark shadow in the door way. I jumped out of bed and turned on every light upstairs in the house. I went and sat on my mom's bed and cried. All I could think about was my Grandpa, he was 6'3" with broad shoulders. I knew the shadow was my Grandpa. At about 5:30am my mom called and told me that Grandpa passed away 15minutes ago. She said that she was sleeping in the chair next to his bed and felt the blanket slip off her shoulder and felt as if someone was touching her shoulder. She woke up and grabbed her stethoscope and went to my Grandpa's bedside to listen to his heart and lungs. She heard him take a deep breath and then he was gone. This was at 5:15am. She said that she called my Stepdad and he told her he was up because he woke up at 5:15am.
I told my mom that was very freaky but I'm glad that I got to see him yesterday and I'm glad that he got to see me. I then called my sister and brother and told them the news.
I think it was great that he came to say goodbye.

Totally Awkward Tuesday

Ok so I haven't posted in awhile but I have a story about my Hubby and he said I could use it and its hilarious. FYI I almost peed my pants when he told me this story.

My hubby gets home from work early and will usually walk the dogs while he's waiting on me to get home. He gets home from work and lets the dogs out to do their business. He goes inside and goes upstairs and changes into his work out clothes so he can walk the dogs. He comes back down stairs and out to the garage to grab the dogs' leashes and hook the dogs up to go for the walk. That's when he looks down and realizes he's in his boxer shorts not his gym shorts. So let me recap he has his t-shirt on socks and shoes and boxer shorts.

I know it would have been more awkward had he ended up walking outside where people would see him. But I think its awkward enough. Love ya honey!

Thanks Tova for Totally Awkward Tuesdays!

Stunt Driving

I was thinking about this the other day on the way home from work. My commute is about an hour so I have a lot of time to think about things. It takes at least 20 minutes to get out of the city that my office is. I blame the drivers around me not having quick reflexes. The light turns green and they sit, then 3 seconds later the cars start to slowly move. It sucks. SUCKS!

Anyway I was thinking about how cool it would be to learn to be a stunt driver. I thought of this as I'm heading down the 4 lane highway and thinking if I had to do a U-turn it would be a lot cooler if I hit the e-brake and cranked the wheel. Oh how great to watch the driver's faces around me. Only problem is my luck I would end up rolling the car cuz I was driving too fast. Then I would have to explain to Hubby why I rolled the car. Being bored and wanting to see what would happen is not a good excuse. I still think it would be damn cool.

The other scenario I thought of was having people in the car with me that didn't know I was a stunt driver and doing the e-brake parallel park thing. That would be totally kick ass awesome. I know the looks on their faces would be priceless!

I can't wait for Tova's Totally Awkward Tuesday next week cuz I have a hilarious story that involves the Hubby. Its great. The ladies I work with were brought to tears!
Have a good weekend!

Pictures

I now have a profile picture! Yay!

Since this blog is anonymous that's my picture. I have a funny story about the paper bag thing. I will tell it some day...

As seen on TV and other random rants

I really want Pro Caulk, caulking pro kit. I don't have anything that needs caulked right now but I just really want it. I'm sure I can find things to caulk. They make it look so easy to use. Every time I see the commercial for it I am totally mesmerized. Kinda like the Sham Wow. Which my in laws own and say they do work great.
I don't think I can write a whole lot about why I want the Pro Caulk and all its good qualities and why everyone should own it. I just think its so amazing.
So on to more important things like....

I was thinking about this the other day.

In the South people give gifts to their garbage man, postal worker, dry cleaners, lawn person...etc and usually during the Holidays. I remember around Christmas I was listening to the radio and they were talking about such things like leaving a case of beer next to your garbage can for the garbage man. Stuff like that. They were taking a poll if people still do that something extra for these employees. Basically "tip" the service worker. Well being from the North I have never heard of people tipping the garbage man. I have heard of the postman, hairdresser, waiter, you know that kind of normal stuff.
I know our garbage men up North didn't work as hard as they do down here because it was an automated garbage loader. Usually they never got out of the truck. So if you left them a case of beer they might end up leaving it on the curb. Here the garbage men manually dump the garbage. Would you really tip someone that does the job automatedly? (new word)

Oh and Nada the Octomom is going to have a reality show on finding a b/f. What person in their right mind would want to walk into all that EXTRA baggage?
Yes, I'm a single mom of 14 kids. Wanna date me?
I like kids and all but 14? What guy wants to walk into that situation. I have single parent friends that find it hard enough to date someone when there's 1 or 2 kids. The show sounds like a train wreck waiting to happen.
I like reality shows but I'm not obsessed. I probably won't be watching this one. No take that back. I definately won't be watching. I already don't watch DWTS, Idol, Bachelor, Biggest Loser..But I do watch the ones on Bravo. Housewives, Millionaire matchmaker, Top Chef, but I only religiously watch Top Chef.
My Husband whenever I cook something asks "What do you think the Top Chef judges would say about this dish?"
Its quite cute.
Ok back to work.

Monday Monday....

Not so good to me. Well its cold here and I know people up North will wonder what's wrong with me. Its a high of 60 today when its normally 80. I'm a little cold and I'm super tired.
The dogs slept on my half of the bed last night so about every 2 hours I woke up trying to get comfortable and fall back asleep. By 5am the cars started to pass by and wake me up. Between the snoozing of the alarm and the cars passing by I got a little extra sleep.
I am happy b/c its my short day today. I have a Doctor's appointment this afternoon so I get to leave work early. Yay! Right now all I can think about is sleep. I want to crawl back into my bed and go to sleep.
I even thought about calling in to work today so that I could sleep later. But I didn't. Hopefully this week isn't too terribly boring!

Help

Ok so I've checked out the Help me pay for my Wedding blog found here and it got me thinking about a couple of things.
1. Our wedding was expensive and we had no money saved for it. Thank God our parents chipped in and helped out. Plus we had a lot of contacts that also donated and helped out. I did the flowers with help from my bridesmaids, sister-in-law and mother-in-law. Since I'm not a big cake person we ordered one from the local grocery store. I wasn't about to drop $1,000 on cake! In all the wedding turned out perfect.
2. We are in the process of saving up for a down payment on a house and I got to thinking should I start a site where people can donate money towards my dream house. But then I thought its too much hassle and extra work that I don't think I have time for. But if I want something to happen I have to put my mind to it. Now I'm on the fence about this. Plus I don't deal with mean people well. I usually retaliate. What do you think?

Totally Awkward Tuesday

I know its a day late but I've been really busy. Thanks Tova for letting us share our Awkwardness.

This happened to me on Monday. Here's some back story. I went shopping this weekend and bought some cute new tops. I wore one of the new tops to work on Monday. Its a little flowy and took some getting used to. Let's just say if the wind is blowing right the shirt would blow up and show everyone my bra. Awesome!
So I'm at the Doctor's office Monday afternoon and I had my umbrella in my purse so the umbrella handle was sticking out of my purse. The nurse calls me back to room me and I stand up and grab my purse and go to put it on my shoulder when the umbrella handle gets caught in my flowy shirt and I expose the receptionist. Very Awesome! Luckily he didn't see anything and wasn't paying attention. I shot this weird look at the nurse but she wasn't paying attention either. I guess I had the best awkward moment, Nobody noticed except me.
